The South Jersey Beyblade Association

This is a fun story.
I got the idea in early 2024 when my childhood love for Beyblade was reignited. A good friend of mine heard me recount happy memories of playing with these battling tops as a kid, and got me some for Christmas that year. All of it came rushing back – the excitement, the technicality, the community.
I always had trouble being social as a kid, but this game took me out of my scared little pre-teen shell. All of a sudden I was talking to complete strangers about which performance tip gave you the greatest advantage.
There’s a big issue with kids (both in size and in heart) getting outside and doing things in real life. We don’t do much with our hands these days aside from touching a screen. We don’t compete unless it’s in physical sports… and not all of us have the physique to keep up.
That’s when I got the idea for the South Jersey Beyblade Association.

A group where beybladers of all ages could come together and compete in tournaments, practice, and just share their love of the game.
The bittersweet part of this story is that it’s no longer mine.
After facing some personal emergencies, I was forced to move from NJ to MD. There wasn’t a practical way for me to see it to reality.
That’s when a generous stranger with the screen name “PraiseMo” stepped in. He graciously offered to take over and manage the club in my place. Since then, he’s run community tournaments and built this little club into something brilliant.
These logos represent the spark of an idea that was transformed by people who share a love for spinning tops.
